Incident: Trans Mountain Expansion Project – Environmental Impacts – Feb 2/23

The CER was notified of an incident on the Trans Mountain Expansion Project near Hope, BC. Water flow in the Railway Creek was interrupted during construction activities.
The water has been redirected and is now flowing back into the stream. There are no reports of an oil spill into the creek or any fish being harmed.
CER Inspection Officers and Indigenous Monitors are on site to assess the situation, and ensure the company is following the rules to protect the environment.
